Tickets released for Globe transfers

Thousands of tickets have just been made available for the highly anticipated West End transfer of Shakespeare’s Globe’s productions of Richard III and Twelfth Night starring Mark Rylance.

The pair of Shakespearean productions begin their run in the roofed security of the Apollo theatre from November and eager prospective audience members can now purchase one of 2,000 on-stage seats. A further 6,000 tickets are available across the auditorium.

Both the comedy of love, loss and mistaken identity Twelfth Night and historical drama Richard III are currently playing at Shakespeare’s Globe with casts that include Olivier Award-winner Rylance, former History Boy Samuel Barnett, recording artist and actor Johnny Flynn, Only Fools And Horses’ Roger Lloyd Pack and, in Twelfth Night, actor, writer and presenter Stephen Fry.

When they make the move across the Thames to a theatre where the elements are never to be feared, the production will be lit by more than 100 on stage candles.

Prior to the arrival of the Globe’s shows, the Apollo hosts Roger Rees’s one man show exploring the Bard’s work What You Will and an week of concerts by original Wicked star US actress Idina Menzel.
