This House announces its cast

First Published 6 July 2016, Last Updated 6 July 2016

Following its upcoming run at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre and two sell-out seasons at the National Theatre, the cast for the West End run of James Graham’s critically acclaimed play, This House, has today been announced.

The cast features Phil Daniels, best known for his role in EastEnders and more recently, Les Miserables, who plays Bob Mellish, as well as Kevin Doyle in the role of Michael Cocks, David Hounslow (Joe Harper), Ed Hughes (Fred Silvester), Lauren O’Neil (Ann Taylor), Nathaniel Parker (Jack Weatherill), Steffan Rhodri (Walter Harrison), Malcolm Sinclair (Humphrey Atkins) and Sarah Woodward (Lady Batley), with Christopher Godwin, Peter Landi, Matthew Pigeon, Giles Taylor, Tony Turner and Orlando Wells completing the cast.

Telling the story of the 1974 hung parliament, the show’s debut in 2012 echoed the political events of the Conservative/Lib Dem coalition. At the present time when Jeremy Corbyn’s fate as the Labour leader is uncertain, the play may once again echo current events as it follows the developments behind a vote of no confidence in Labour leader James Callaghan.

Once again directed by Headlong Artistic Director Jeremy Herrin, This House will open at the Garrick Theatre on 30 November and run until 25 February 2017, with previews from 19 November.
