Full casting has been released for Andrew Bovell’s Things I Know To Be True, the latest show from lauded physical theatre company Frantic Assembly.
An exciting international co-production with State Theatre Company of South Australia, the show will star Assembly veterans Richard Mylan, Kirsty Oswald and Ewan Stewart, along with newcomers Matthew Barker, Natalie Casey and Imogen Stubbs.
With the play’s UK premiere commencing at the Lyric Hammersmith from 10 September and running until 1 October, Things I Know To Be True will explore the dynamics of one family through the eyes of four grown siblings. When it’s time for the children to fly the nest, some shattering home truths unexpectedly arise and come to the fore in a beautifully touching, funny and bold production.
Billed as “a complex and intense study of the mechanics of a family that is both poetic and brutally frank”, the show is penned by Bovell, whose previous acclaimed stage works include When The Rain Stops Falling and Speaking In Tongues, and will incorporate Frantic Assembly’s celebrated physicality within its storytelling.
Having received its world premiere in Adelaide in May 2016, the show will embark upon a UK tour following the conclusion of its run at the Hammersmith venue.
