Today sees the launch of the Theatre Super Auction, an exciting one-off event to fundraise for the theatre industry.
As restrictions ease, much of the country is starting to return to normal. While theatres around the country remain closed, hundreds of thousands of workers within the theatre industry haven’t been able to return to work yet. Many of these people are self-employed or freelancers and aren’t eligible for any of the Government schemes leaving them without any means of financially supporting themselves and their families.
There are more than 1,100 theatres around this country – 752 are local theatres, where you will have seen your first panto or visited with your school. Some of these theatres are already closing as a result of the pandemic.
The incredible list of stagey items you can bid for include:
- 2 x VIP tickets to see Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway donated by Andrew Lloyd Weber along with 2 x BA Business Class flights and a 3 night stay in New York hotel
- VIP tickets to Sister Act and a meet and greet with Whoopi Goldberg & Jennifer Saunders
- Press night tickets for Frozen and passes for the after-show party

Auction specialists Bid-In Group are launching this auction free in support of the theatre industry and will be raising funds for Theatres Trust, Acting for Others and Theatre Artists Fund.
