There’s no doubt about it: this week, Marianne Elliott and Company are the toast of the West End, as the radical revival opened to rave reviews and news of a huge extension.
And we were even there to celebrate with the all-star cast at the opening party – including Patti LuPone, Rosalie Craig, Mel Giedroyc and Jonathan Bailey – pitting them against the “(Not) Getting Married Today” challenge.
So it feels only fitting that this week, our Theatre Spot Test puts your knowledge of the show to the test. We’ve provided some the first halves of stand-out Company lyrics below – and all you have to do is click the corresponding second. All the lyrics are in order of appearance in the show.
So even if you don’t know Company too well yet or haven’t seen the show, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to guess (hint: look for rhymes, or just logical pairs!)… just be sure to do so quickly, because you’ve only 7 minutes on the clock.
As always: good luck, and let us know how you did!
