The National Lottery’s Big Night Of Musicals is coming to the AO Arena Manchester this Monday 24 January, with a blockbuster lineup, featuring the casts of some of the country’s best-loved musicals.
Hosted by comedian, presenter and singer Jason Manford, the one-of-a-kind event will then be broadcast on BBC One next Saturday 29 January in a special 90-minute programme.
You can expect to see performances from Frozen The Musical, Disney’s The Lion King, Back To The Future – The Musical, The Drifters Girl, Dear Evan Hansen, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, & Juliet, Get Up Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical.
There will also be performances from casts of shows that are currently touring up and down the UK including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock, Bat Out of Hell, Dreamgirls and Waitress plus the cast of Beauty and the Beast will feature in a unique Disney Medley.
As well as the programme on BBC One, performances from the event will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Sunday 30th January, 1-3pm, and will be available both live and for 30 days afterwards on BBC Sounds.
