The Mousetrap Interviews: Sgt Trotter

First Published 30 January 2014, Last Updated 6 March 2014

So here we are at the end of our introductions to the characters of the world’s longest running stage production.

TV’s Angellica Bell has met the proprietors and guests of the ill-fated Monkswell Manor and finishes her whizz though Agatha Christie’s famous characters by chatting to the notepad toting Sgt Trotter, possibly the most relaxed of the interviewees we have met, only raising an eyebrow at Bell’s dubious tale of awaiting huskeys.

Christie’s tale of murder in a remote country house, The Mousetrap has played in London since 1952. Remarkably, the identity of the murderer is still one of theatre’s most closely guarded secrets. The only way to discover the truth behind the mystery is to go and see the show yourself.
