Official London Theatre has today launched a brand new fortnightly theatre podcast, The Cast. Hosted by Official London Theatre's own Matthew Amer, The Cast includes the latest news, interviews and conversation about London's theatre scene. The first edition, which is available to download now, features two of the West End's most talked about recent openings, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Saint Joan, along with a rundown of all the newest shows to get excited about.
Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is one of the summer's most anticipated productions, having built up a head of publicity steam with reality casting television programme Any Dream Will Do. In The Cast, Matthew Amer talks to radio drama producer Frank Stirling and The Stage's Scott Matthewman about the new show.
The Cast's Katie Collins also chats to director Marianne Elliott about her production of George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, which has garnered much critical acclaim since opening at the National’s Olivier theatre. Hayley Radford, The Cast's new productions guru, takes a look at some of the shows catching the headlines at the moment.
The Cast is the latest way to indulge your passion for theatre, and can be listened to on your computer or downloaded to a handy MP3 player so that you can enjoy it on the way to work, while you're out jogging or anywhere at all really!
We would love to know what you think of this new way of sharing our enjoyment of London theatre, so please have a listen to The Cast and tell us what you think by emailing editorial@officiallondontheatre.co.uk At the moment, The Cast is a short term project, but if you tell us you like it or how we can make it better, it could run for longer than The Mousetrap.
