Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace will return to the West End this autumn, bringing their new show Dance ‘Til Dawn to the Aldwych Theatre for a limited 10-week season.
The Strictly Come Dancing duo, who enjoyed two West End runs with their previous show Midnight Tango, will take to the Aldwych Theatre’s stage once again from 23 October (press night 3 November) to 3 January 2015.
Directed by Olivier Award-winning choreographer Karen Bruce, who worked with the former world champions on their 2012 Olivier Award nominated production, Dance ‘Til Dawn fuses musical theatre, dance, romance and comedy in a show that transports audiences to 1940s Los Angeles.
Against the backdrop of a Hollywood film shoot, Dance ‘Til Dawn tells the story of Tony DeLuca (Simone) who, having been framed for the murder of leading man Bobby Burns, must tango and quickstep himself out of trouble with the help of his starlet lover (Cacace).
Promising “an unforgettable evening of timeless sophistication”, the production features a score of well-known hits including Feeling Good, Moon River and Stand By Me, which are performed by a live band.
Dance ‘Til Dawn will open following the current run of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s acclaimed double bill of Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies. The hit plays run in rep at the Aldwych Theatre until 6 September.
