With Kids Week kicking off this week, we handed over control of our Instagram story to the wonderful West End cast of Kinky Boots, who took us behind-the-scenes during a two-show day.
And from warm-ups to waiting in the wings, we were treated to a fascinating insight into the daily performing life of the spectacular driving forces behind one of Theatreland’s most beloved musicals.
Winner of every major Best Musical award on Broadway and in the West End, Kinky Boots is the hottest show in town! Inspired by true events, this hilarious musical has songs by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and proves sometimes the best way to fit in is to stand out.
This year marks the 20th Kids Week, which began in 1998 and over the years has reached over 1.2 million children and families. One of the world’s longest running audience development initiatives, Kids Week encourages young people to experience live theatre.
During Kids Week, one child aged 16 or under can go free to a wide range of participating shows when accompanied by an adult paying full price. In addition, two extra children can go for half price, and there are no booking, postage or transaction fees.
