Simon Shepherd, Michael Simkins and Sara Stewart will join Felicity Kendal in the forthcoming West End revival of Noël Coward’s Hay Fever.
Lindsay Posner’s production, which arrives in London following its run at the Theatre Royal Bath last year, will play from 29 April to 1 August at the Duke of York’s Theatre.
All three cast members will appear in the West End transfer having previously performed during the play’s run at the acclaimed Somerset venue.
Reprising his role as Kendal’s on-stage husband David, Peak Practice’s Shepherd makes his return to the London stage following his 2014 performance in Olivier Award nominated comedy The Duck House.
Simkins, who returns to the role of Richard Greatham, recently appeared in the capital in the Theatre Royal Stratford East’s production of Oh What A Lovely War and Stewart, whose London stage credits include Enron in the West End and Six Degrees Of Separation at the Old Vic, reprises her role as Myra Arundel.
Kendal, Simkins, Shepherd and Stewart are joined by fellow original cast members Alice Orr-Ewing, Edward Franklin, Celeste Dodwell and Mossie Smith. The only new member of the cast will be Posh’s Edward Killingback, who replaces James Corrigan in the role of Sandy Tyrrell.
Hay Fever will open at the Duke of York’s Theatre following the current run of Jennifer Haley’s hit thriller The Nether, which closes on 25 April.
