The Apollo Theatre will host a different musical every night this autumn when Showstopper! The Improvised Musical plays a full West End run for the first time.
The hugely popular improvised series will play a 10-week run from 24 September to 29 November, creating a whopping 80 new musicals on the spot over the course of its residency.
Fast, funny and entertaining, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical takes audience suggestions and transforms them into an all-singing, all-dancing show that promises unpredictable and hilarious results.
Creating a real musical from scratch with a new story, character, music and choreography every night, the comedy improvisers have previously conjured hits including Emotional Baggage, a First Class Heathrow Airport-set romance, and Sweeney Cod, the tale of a fish shop owner with music reminiscent of Kander and Ebb.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical will see creators Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery joined by a cast including Ruth Bratt, Justin Brett, Pippa Evans, Susan Harrison, Sean McCann, Philip Pellew, Andrew Pugsley, Oliver Senton, Lucy Trodd and Sarah-Louise Young.
It will open at the Apollo Theatre following the current run of page to stage adaptation Dear Lupin, which stars real-life father and son James and Jack Fox as Roger and Charlie Mortimer.
