Here at Official London Theatre, we believe in any excuse to celebrate (and by celebrate, we mean see a West End show). That’s why we wanted to be the first to tell you that Valentine’s Day 2020 has been extended to Valentine’s Month! That’s right – we’re giving you permission to display your affection (for theatre – nobody likes PDA, guys) for an entire month of loove.
Whether you want to cuddle up in front of a classic romance, celebrate your singledom with the girls, or immerse yourself in a heart-warming story, we’ve put together a list of shows to seduce you this February!
Pretty Woman: The Musical
What better way to celebrate the month of love than with a stage adaptation of one of Hollywood’s most beloved rom-coms, Pretty Woman! Starring Aimie Atkinson (Six, In The Heights) and Danny Mac (White Christmas, Sunset Boulevard), this Broadway transfer will run from 13 February at the Piccadilly Theatre for a strictly limited engagement.

The Phantom Of The Opera
Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s iconic musical, The Phantom Of The Opera, is arguably the most romantic show in the West End! Based on Gaston Leroux’s gothic novel of life beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House, the show has been running in London since 1986 and is one of the most successful theatre productions of all time. Currently playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Divorced. Beheaded. Live in concert! From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the Six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to rewrite ‘Her-story’. Following a sell-out UK tour, hit pop-concert musical Six is playing an open-ended run at its London home, the Arts Theatre.

The Prince Of Egypt
The classic DreamWorks animated film springs to life at the Dominion Theatre as an exciting new musical. With music and lyrics by the renowned Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), The Prince Of Egypt tickets in the West End are set to be in high demand as the show makes its West End debut in February 2020.

Shakespeare’s famous ending is just the beginning of a riotous, new, pop-hit-fuelled musical, & Juliet. Featuring the songs of Max Martin and a book by David West Read (the writer of Netflix’s Schitt’s Creek), & Juliet tickets are going like hotcakes. Playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre.

Come From Away
Telling a joyous true story of friendship in the wake of crisis, Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s heart-warming musical has Come From Away to the Phoenix Theatre! The show tells the incredible real-life tale of the 7,000 air passengers grounded in Canada after 9/11.

Mamma Mia!
The hit ABBA musical that still has West End audiences taking a chance on it more than two decades after it first premiered continues to deliver the feel-good factor to the Novello Theatre! Written by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia! tells the hilarious and heart-warming story of a young woman and her mother who find themselves re-living past events on the eve of the daughter’s wedding.

The Wedding Singer
It’s 1985. Hair is huge, greed is good and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey’s favourite wedding singer. Based on the Hollywood Blockbuster starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, this strictly limited run of The Wedding Singer at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre sees multi-talented Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton take on the role of Robbie Hart.

Waitress
Featuring an all-female creative team, Waitress is the story of expert pie maker Jenna, stuck in a small town and a neglected marriage. Dreaming of bigger and better things, Jenna’s life begins to heat up when she meets a compassionate doctor and forms a plan to enter a life-changing baking contest in a nearby county. Playing at the Adelphi Theatre until 4 July 2020.
