Now there’s a title that grabs attention! The Royal Court has announced casting for Seven Methods Of Killing Kylie Jenner, a new play about finding a voice through the internet.

Directed by Milli Bhatia, the show will star Tia Bannon (whose previous credits include The Winter’s Tale at Shakespeare’s Globe) as Kara and Danielle Vitalis (Don Juan In Soho in the West End) as Cleo.

112 Million People. That’s how many people follow her on instagram – and counting…. As if she’s like a prophet. Or a material messiah or something...”

Events in centre around Cleo when she ignores 22 calls from Kara and cuts herself off from the outside world, seeking refuge in her bedroom – but that doesn’t mean she’s been silent during that time. And on the internet, actions don’t always speak louder than words.

Seven Methods Of Killing Kylie Jenner is written by Jasmine Lee-Jones, who originally came through the Royal Court’s Young Court programme and is now in the Jerwood New Playwrights programme. The play was first commissioned through The Andrea Project – a day of free events inspired by Andrea Dunbar’s legacy. This programme formed part of the Young Court’s mission to expand the Royal Court’s commitment to new voices.

The play will run at the Royal Court’s studio theatre, the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, between Thursday 4 July and Saturday 27 July.

Tickets are available through the Royal Court website.
