The Royal Court has today announced initial star-laden casting for its 60th anniversary fundraiser, The Bash.
Taking place on Wednesday 2 November, the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs will host the one-night-only production, which sees the likes of Andrew Scott, Zawe Ashton, Lesley Manville and Meera Syal come together to perform scenes from iconic Royal Court plays through the ages and raise money for the Sloane Square’s venue’s mission to seek out, develop and nurture theatre’s boldest, brightest and best playwrights.
Further cast members include Kenneth Cranham, Aimee Ffion-Edwards, Deborah Findley, Harry Haddon-Patten, Kika Markham, Wunmi Mosaku, Kate O’Flynn, Maxine Peake, Stephen Rea and Lesley Sharp.
An online auction prior to the event also offers lucky punters a whole host of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a one-to-one acting class with Maxine Peake, supper with actors Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig, exclusive Harry Potter And The Cursed Child (with director John Tiffany), Match Of The Day (with Gary Lineker) and Channel Four (with Jon Snow) experiences, a playwriting masterclass with The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time’s Simon Stephens, and a day at London Fashion week with the Vivienne Westwood team, amongst many glamorous prizes.
The evening commences with a Moët reception and pre-show dinner at the venue before the gala performance, while a post-show party will feature live music, cocktails, desserts and champagne.
Tickets for The Bash can be purchased through the venue’s website, including 6 exclusive on stage seats.
