The Royal Court has announced casting for its next Jerwood Theatre Downstairs productions, B and Victory Condition, set to run in nightly repertory with flexible performance times for theatregoers.
Acclaimed Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderón makes his Royal Court debut with the world premiere of his play B, written on a residency with the International Department. The show will star Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Jerusalem, Royal Court), Paul Kaye (The Suicide, National Theatre), Sarah Niles (The Sewing Group, Royal Court) and Danusia Samal (How To Hold Your Breath, Royal Court).

Alejandra and Marcela are planting bombs in the middle of the night. They don’t want violence. They just want to be heard. After all, prison’s not much of a threat when most of your friends are inside… but José Miguel is from another generation, and he’s committed to change by any means possible.
Meanwhile, Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Nuclear War, Royal Court) and Jonjo O’Neil (Unreachable, Royal Court) have been cast in Victory Condition by Chris Thorpe, directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone.

The new play is an attempt to get to grips with the fact that everything happens at once, exploring whether there’s anything we can do about it.
Both shows will play in the Sloane Square venue’s main space from Thursday 28 September – Saturday 21 October, with the full schedule available through the Royal Court website.
