The theatrical feast that is the Pinter at the Pinter season continues this winter, with a multitude of top stars collaborating to commemorate the work of one of the greatest British playwrights. And like in any great feast we’ll encounter this festive season, there’s another exciting helping on the way: Pinter Six, starring the likes of Celia Imrie, John Simm, Ron Cook and more, begins performances on Thursday 20 December.
And ahead of this latest instalment of the remarkable season, we’ve been lucky enough to look into a rehearsal room that currently houses the likes of Imrie, John Simm, Cook, Phil Davis, Abraham Popoola, Eleanor Matsuura, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Gary Kemp, all directed by Jamie Lloyd.
Pinter Six pairs the highly pertinent short play Party Time with Pinter’s final play, Celebration, in a scathing – and bitterly amusing – attack on the powerful and super-rich. The certain result? Theatrical fireworks to savour. We can’t wait.
The Pinter at the Pinter seasson will culminate in March 2019 with a revival of Betrayal starring Tom Hiddlestone, it was recently announced.
What’s more, Pinter Six is currently also taking part in our New Year Sale.
