Reality duo to star in Taboo

First Published 12 July 2012, Last Updated 12 July 2012

Niamh Perry and Alistair Brammer, two contestants from previous Andrew Lloyd Webber casting shows, will appear on stage together in the new production of Taboo.

The pair, veterans of I’d Do Anything and Any Dream Will Do, will play young runaways Kim and Billy in the Boy George musical that will be revived at the Brixton Club House this autumn.

Perry and Brammer join Matthew Roland, Adam Bailey and original cast member Paul Baker in the love story set in the New Romantic club scene of the 1980s.

Since being voted off the reality casting shows, both Perry and Brammer have gone on to bigger and better things. Perry has appeared in the West End playing Sophie in Mamma Mia! and originating the role of Fleck in Love Never Dies. Though Brammer did not play Joseph in the West End, he toured with Bill Kenwright’s production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as the alternate Joseph before joining the London cast of Les Misérables.
