Another week, another month! And some of the biggest shows and names in the biz had big news this week. From a look behind the secretive curtain of Harry Potter And the Cursed Child to some rock ‘n’ roll behaviour from the cast of Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical, it’s all been happening in theatre.

Full casting announced for True West starring Kit Harington
Kit Harington and Johnny Flynn are set to play brothers in Sam Shephard’s modern classic True West. And this week, the rest of the cast was announced. Joining the Game Of Thrones and Love Sick stars will be Madeleine Potter and Donald Sage Mackay. In addition to the announcement, a video of rehearsals where you’ll see Kit and Johnny in a brawl.
There’s going to be a singalong performance of Heathers The Musical
The instant cult hit, Heathers The Musical, announced via Twitter that it’ll be hosting a one-off singalong performance on Tuesday 6 November. That means you can join the Carrie Hope Fletcher and the rest of the cast in a rendition of Candy Shop, Seventeen and more! The show closes on 24 November so we’re pretty certain this will be your only opportunity to take part in such an epic performance.
Harry Potter releases album preview with Godric’s Hollow
Considering it has more secrets than the performers at the Magical Castle, it’s a huge deal that Harry Potter And The Cursed Child is giving a peek into the show with the release of the album The Music Of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child from Imogen Heap. What’s even more surprising is that the track, Godrick’s Hollow, was released to celebrate Halloween.
Rob Brydon & Dara Ó Briain in Palladium charity show
In February, you’ll be able to see a glittering line-up of comics, including Rob Brydon, Dara Ó Briain, Harry Enfield, Omid Djalili, Rachel Parris and Angus Deayton perform at the London Palladium. The one-night-only event, 100 Hearts, will raise funds for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity. It takes place on Wednesday 13 February 2019.

Bat Out Of Hell’s take over of the TKTS booth
To celebrate being the TKTS show of the week, the Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical cast decided to take over the TKTS booth in Leicester Square. Ticket seekers who were in the area at the time were able to benefit from Bat Out Of Hell’s street-smart tips for picking up the hottest London theatre tickets in town.
Laura Wade’s Home, I’m Darling is coming to the West End
The National Theatre and Theatr Clywd’s co-production of Home, I’m Darling is set to come to the Duke of York’s Theatre in early 2019. Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd, Humans) will be reprising her acclaimed role as Judy in the marital comedy which was nominated for Best New Play at this year’s UK Theatre Awards.
