Star of One Man, Two Guvnors Jodie Prenger will host this year’s West End Musical Gala at the Playhouse theatre on 1 April.

Organised by DreamArts, the charity that provides creative opportunities for young people across inner London, the gala will see a hundred young people aged between eight and 19 take to the stage.

The gifted youngsters will perform hits from Oliver!, Little Shop Of Horrors, Calamity Jane and Blood Brothers.

Prenger, who found fame on the TV talent show I’d Do Anything before appearing in Oliver!, Monty Python’s Spamalot and most recently Richard Bean’s hit comedy at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, said that she was “thrilled to be supporting DreamArts and to share a West End stage with such a talented group of kids!”

Graham Whitlock, Artistic Director of DreamArts, said: “These children and young people have worked so hard to achieve the standard you’d expect from West End professionals; it really is a tribute to their talent, passion and commitment.”
