Former Wet Wet Wet singer/songwriter Marti Pellow is to join the cast of long running West End musical Blood Brothers later this autumn.

Pellow will play the role of the Narrator in the show at the Phoenix theatre from 1 November.

Best known for his time with Scottish pop band Wet Wet Wet, when he recorded songs including Love Is All Around, Goodnight Girl, Angel Eyes and Sweet Little Mystery, Pellow is a seasoned musical theatre performer. He has previously appeared in Chicago and The Witches Of Eastwick, and joins Blood Brothers fresh from an eight-month UK tour in Jekyll And Hyde.

Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, which tells the tale of twins who are separated as babies and lead very different lives before being reunited by a twist of fate, has been running in the capital since 1988. Its famous score includes the songs Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It’s Not True.
