When you’ve got 40 years of world class, award-winning theatre to celebrate, and a bright midsummer evening on which to enjoy it, the three key ingredients are a stunning setting, a tip top turn-out and excellent entertainment.
And as our snaps from Monday night’s event prove, the Olivier Awards with MasterCard know how to throw a summer party. London’s magnificent Victoria & Albert Museum and brilliant Curtain Up! Exhibition played host to stars such as Patrick Stewart, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mark Strong, Simon Callow, Noma Dumezweni and Denise Gough for the evening.
Influential actors, directors, designers and producers gathered to indulge in some celebratory chat and enjoy a canapé or two with the beautiful backdrop of the John Madejski Garden and a smooth jazz band soundtrack.
