Audiences will be able to catch Nigel Lindsay in the Olivier Award-nominated Guys And Dolls for one month only this summer as he joins the cast for a strictly limited appearance.
The actor will take over the role of Nathan Detroit from current US star Richard Kind from 26 May to 26 June, reprising the leading role more than 10 years on from his critically acclaimed performance in the Donmar Warehouse’s 2005 West End production.
Lindsay will follow other leading musical roles including Shrek The Musical to join Samantha Spiro, Oliver Tompsett and Siubhan Harrison in the leading company of Gordon Greenberg’s hugely successful revival of the classic gambler musical.
Aha! Really looking forward to bouncing about with @Samanthaspiro and the rest of the team x https://t.co/M1yE5JAtHt

Following its beginnings at Chichester Festival Theatre, the show is now on its second major West End run, wowing audiences with its vibrant celebration of prohibition era New York and its colourful tale of gamblers, hustlers and nightclub singers.
Lindsay will make his much welcome musical return in the production following a string of recent acclaimed appearances in dramas including Bull at the Young Vic, Speed-The-Plow at the Playhouse Theatre and A Small Family Business at the National Theatre.
Who will take over the role from Lindsay for the remainder of Guys And Dolls’ run at the Phoenix Theatre, where it is currently booking to 30 October, is yet to be announced.
