Former Olivier Award nominee Nicholas Le Prevost will lead the cast of West End comedy How The Other Half Loves, with screen favourites Tamzin Outhwaite and Jason Merrells also joining the line-up.
Alan Aykbourn’s much loved comedy, which tells the story of three couples, one secret love affair and two disastrous dinner parties, will play at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 23 March to 25 June.
Couple one – Frank and his less than faithful wife Fiona – will be played by Shakespeare In Love’s Le Prevost, who was last seen in the National Theatre’s Man And Superman, and Judge John Deed star Jenny Seagrove, whose many West End credits include Bedroom Farce, The Country Girl and Absurd Person Singular.
Lark Rise To Candleford’s Jason Merrells and former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite will take on the equally dysfunction couple two, Teresa and Fiona’s adulterous love interest Bob.
While both are arguably best known for their numerous roles on screen, the pair are no strangers to the London stage, with Merrells last seen in the West End in Twelve Angry Men and Outhwaite (Di And Viv And Rose and Breeders) returning to the Theatre Royal Haymarket following her triumphant role in Sweet Charity at the theatre.
Rounding up the trio of calamitous couples is Game On’s Mathew Cottle (A Small Family Business, National Theatre) and EastEnders’ star Gillian Wright, who complete the company as William and Mary.
This revival of How The Other Half Loves will be directed by Alan Strachan and arrive at the theatre following the current return of hit comedy Bad Jews, which runs until 19 March.
