Yes, you’re herring us correctly: Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins’ new comic play Nice Fish, starring Mark himself, has extended its booking period at the Harold Pinter Theatre by three weeks due to the scale of initial demand.
Transferring to the West End from New York from 15 November, the hilarious production swims to London directly from sold out seasons in America over to London’s Theatreland, with Academy and BAFTA Award-winner Mark returning to perform in the production, directed by Claire van Kampen.
The show will now fin-ish its run at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 11 February 2017.
The creaking ice of a frozen Minnesota lake plays host to two old friends, out on the frostbitten landscape at the end of the fishing season. Angling for something big, they find that down there is something that is pure need, something that, had it the wherewithal, would swallow them whole; a sublimely playful and profound collision of the ordinary and extraordinary is set to take place.
For those keen to hook a ticket, audience members attending dressed as a fish or fisherman (with the necessary fishing rod, of course) can reel in a complimentary seat (one per person) in a private box on a first come first served basis from 6pm on the night of the show (or 1.30pm for matinees).
The plaice to buy your tickets is through us, here.
