Several new cast members have been announced for the upcoming production of Death Of A Salesman at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Sope Dirisu and Natey Jones, two of Britain’s hottest young actors are joining the show to play Willy Loman’s sons.

Sope will play Biff Loman. His theatre credits include playing the title role in Coriolanus for the RSC, Ogun in The Brothers Size for the Young Vic and Mohammed Ali in One Night In Miami for the Donmar Warehouse. His screen credits include Black Mirror for Netflix and the upcoming film Gangs Of London.
Natey will play Happy Loman. His recent theatre credits are Small Island for the National Theatre, Doctor Faustus, Don Quixote and The Alchemist for the RSC and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical in the West End.
And that’s not all, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (who was recently in the European premiere of The View UpStairs) will play The Woman and Jenny, while Carole Stennett joins to play Miss Forsythe.
Reprising their roles performed at the Young Vic alongside Wendell Pierce and Sharon D Clarke are:
- Ian Bonar as Bernard
- Trevor Cooper as Charley
- Joseph Mydell as Ben Loman
- Matthew Seadon-Young as Howard Wagner and Stanley
- Nenda Neurer as Letta
- Femi Tomowo as Willy Loman’s father and musician.
- Emmanuel Ogunjinmi will understudy Biff and Happy
Further ensemble members will be announced shortly.
Following her recent award-winning successes on Company (which is now heading to Broadway) and Angels In America, Marianne Elliott co-directs Death Of A Salesman with Miranda Cromwell, who worked as Associate Director on both shows. Together, they bring a unique vision to one of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, seen through the eyes of an African-American family.
A transfer of the successful production which ran at the Young Vic, Arthur Miller’s influential play has won three Tony Awards for Best Revival in its history. The show centres on a travelling salesman, Willy, who struggles to rise above a life of mediocrity, and whose memories of missed opportunities form the fulcrum of the story. This production brings a unique vision to the show, told through the eyes of an African-American family.
Death Of A Salesman will run at the Piccadilly Theatre between 24 October – 4 January. Tickets are available from Official London Theatre now.
