Mazz Murray, Jo Napthine, Gabriella Williams and James Darch will become the latest performers to super troupe their way to the West End next month when they join Dianne Pilkington in hit musical Mamma Mia!.
Murray joins the ABBA-inspired hit as Tanya following a seven-year stint in We Will Rock You and Napthine, whose credits include the recent stage adaptation of Made In Dagenham, plays Rosie.
Williams, who is currently starring in Carrie, will make her West End debut alongside Darch (Cool Rider, West End) in the roles of Sophie and Sky, the loved-up duo at the heart of the production.
The quartet will take to the stage of the Novello Theatre on 8 June alongside fellow new cast members Louise Young, Stephanie Fearon, Dan Partridge and Rory Phelan. They join current performers Pilkington, Richard Trinder, Alasdair Harvey and Charles Daish in the much-loved show.
The cast is completed by Tom Bowen, Adam Clayton-Smith, Jasmin Colangelo, Kate Coysten, Stephen John Davis, Katy Day, Olivia Kate Holding, George Ioannides, Alex Jordan-Mills, Craig Anthony Kelly, Sorelle Marsh, George Miller, Stacey Leanne Mills, Fergal McGoff, Ella Nonini, Katy Osborne, Robbie Scotcher, Brad Veitch, Caitlin Ward and Sasha Wareham.
Featuring many of the Swedish pop bands greatest hits including Does Your Mother Know?, Dancing Queen, Super Trouper and Take A Chance On Me, Mamma Mia! follows the story of bride-to-be Sophie as she invites three possible suspects from her mother’s free-loving past to her Greek island wedding in an attempt to discover which is her real father.
Now in its 17th year, the musical has celebrated more than 6,500 performances in the West End and is currently booking to 23 April.
