This September, Arinzé Kene’s critically-acclaimed Misty is transferring to Trafalgar Studios following its sold-out run at the Bush Theatre.

Using a blend of theatre, performance poetry and music, Arinzé delivers an epic, heartfelt and playful exploration of creative freedom, set against a pulsating vision of modern London.

Arinzé was raised in London by Nigerian parents. His previous stage work includes 2017’s Good Dog, 2013’s God’s Property and, and Little Baby Jesus. Arinzé was named Most Promising Playwright at the Off West End Theatre Awards for Estate Walls in 2011, which was also nominated for Best New Play. His stage appearances include soul singing legend Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami at the Donmar Warehouse and in Girl from The North Country in the West End. On screen, he appeared in E4’s Crazyhead and played the award-winning role of Ade in the film The Pass opposite Russell Tovey.

Misty is directed by Bush Theatre Associate Director Omar Elerian (NASSIM, One Cold Dark Night, Islands) and features an original musical score performed live during the show. The six-week run will start on 8 September with press night on 13 September.
