First Published 19 August 2014, Last Updated 19 August 2014

Miss Saigon will celebrate its 25th birthday next month with a special gala performance in which cast members from the original production will reunite to join the West End’s current hit company in a spectacular finale.

Taking place on 22 September, fans will be able to purchase tickets to see the special performance for one night only at the original 1989 prices from just £13.50.

Marking a quarter of a century since Boublil & Schönberg’s legendary show premiered, the as yet unannounced cast members from the premiere production, which ran for 10 years at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, will join current stars including Jon Jon Briones, Eva Noblezada, Alistair Brammer and Rachelle Ann Go on stage at the Prince Edward Theatre for the incredible celebration.

Fans will be able to get their hands on tickets via the show’s social media networks or in person at the box office from 26 August at 10:00.

Anyone unable to attend the gala can tune into BBC Radio 2 on 28 September when the milestone performance will be broadcast in its entirety.

The hugely popular epic show, which returned to the West End this May to musical theatre fans’ delight, will round up its anniversary celebrations with the release of the first live cast recording of the entire show. The soundtrack will go on sale via the theatre’s box office, iTunes and in shops on 22 September.
