It’s been a casting frenzy over here today! With announcements from Waitress, The Mousetrap, Cinderella and The Snow Queen, we’ve got a lot of names to get through!
Waitress have announced Sandra Marvin will be joining the London Company of the show as Becky. She takes the role over from Marisha Wallace, who has been starring in the role since Waitress opened at the Adelphi Theatre earlier this year.
Sandra has appeared on screen as Jessie Dingle on Emmerdale. She has previously appeared in Committee and City of Angels at The Donmar Warehouse and starred in several West End productions including Showboat and Hairspray.
Sandra Marvin joins the current cast of Lucie Jones, Joe Sugg, Laura Baldwin, David Hunter, Tamlyn Henderson and Andrew Boyer.

It was Witness For The Prosecution‘s second birthday at London County Hall this week. In celebration they announced two pieces of juicy news. Not only are they extending booking until September 2020, but they have announced a new cast of actors from 17 November.
Taz Skylar (Warheads, Lie Low) as Leonard Vole, Alexandra Guelff (Gaslight, Ghosts) as Romaine Vole, Jo Stone-Fewings (Trust, Home I’m Darling) as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, Kevin McMonagle (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, People, Places And Things) as Mr Myers QC, Jeffery Kissoon (EastEnders, Grange Hill) as Mr Justice Wainwright and Crispin Redman (Law & Order, Yes, Prime Minister) as Mr Mayhew.
They will be joined by Amelia Annowska, Mark Grindrod, Timothy Harker, George Howard, Jane Lambert, Owen Oakeshott, Tom Shepherd, Vivienne Smith, Craig Talbot and Cathy Walker.

The Park Theatre‘s winter delight The Snow Queen confirmed casting today too. The play, based on the famous tale from Hans Christian Andersen will star Frances Marshall as the Snow Queen, Ayesha Casely-Hayford as Gerda, Esmonde Cole as Cei/Fred, Sarah-Louise Young as Grandmother/Mrs D/Lily, Justin Brett as Mr Goodman/Daffodil/Bae the Reindeer, Paula James as Elisa/Mrs Flynn/Snowdrop/Princess Frederica and Matt Cavendish as John/Bindweed/Robber Queen.

A new pantomime Cinderella will play at Phoenix Concert Hall over Christmas. Grace Chapman (Mame, Dick Whittington) will play Cinderella and James Bisp (The Phantom Of The Opera, Spamalot) will play Prince Charming.
These two will join Ore Oduba in his pantomime debut as Dandini, comedian and pantomime veteran Tim Vine as Buttons and Cat Sandion as the Fairy Godmother, who you may recognise from CBeebies. The cast also includes regulars Jason Marc-Williams and Alistair Barron as the Ugly Sisters and Katie Cameron as the Wicked Stepmother.
The rest of the cast will be largely made up of young people from Croydon and the surrounding areas, chosen after a busy series of open auditions at Croydon Town Hall.
