The Arcola and The Royal Shakespeare Company announced the full casting today for the London première of #WeAreArrested by Can Dündar. Adapted by Pippa Hill (The Boy in the Dress) and Sophie Ivatt (The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-Time), the play tells a tale about reporting truth in an ages of fake news.
When a journalist is sent a flash-drive containing critical evidence of illegal government activity, he is duty-bound to publish the story. But with the nation destabilised and divided, a sinister power is eroding the rule of law. What price will he pay for speaking out?
The cast comprises Jamie Cameron (Day Of The Living, A Christmas Carol), Peter Hamilton Dyer (A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Play For The Nation), and Indra Ové (The Interrogation Of Sandra Bland).
