Death Of A Salesman released new production photos today. Starring Wendell Pierce and Sharon D. Clarke, Arthur Miller’s mid-century modern classic is re-imagined through the eyes of an African-American family.
Following a critically acclaimed run at the Young Vic, Death Of A Salesman opened at the Piccadilly Theatre on 24 October, where it will run until 4 January.
The Rose Theatre Kingston has announced the appointment of a new artistic director – Christopher Haydon will take up the role from 1 January 2020. Christopher was Artistic Director at the Gate Theatre from 2012-2017, before which he was an Associate Director at the Bush Theatre. He said today:
‘The Rose has established itself as a contemporary home for thrilling and ambitious theatre and I am delighted to be its new Artistic Director. I can’t wait to begin steering this amazing building into the future.’
Chief Executive Robert O’Dowd said of the news:
‘Appointing an Artistic Director at the Rose will advance our growth as a dynamic and exciting producing theatre, and I am delighted that Christopher is joining the Rose to lead creatively on the next stage of our journey.’

Winner of the 2019 Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence, The Canary And The Crow announced today that they will transfer to the Arcola Theatre in January. The award-winning gig theatre piece from Hull-based company Middle Child’s is a Grime and hip hop-inspired production about a working class black kid’s journey after he’s accepted into a prestigious grammar school.
Arcola Theatre Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen said: “I am delighted that The Canary and The Crow is coming to Arcola for its first full-length London run in 2020. This electrifying story of a young man struggling to find his place in a divided society will resonate just as strongly in London as it did in Edinburgh. I am looking forward to sharing it with you next year.”

Oi Frog & Friends released some exciting sneak peek photos today. The new family stage show, based on Kes Gray and Jim Field’s bestselling and award-winning picture books, will make its West End premiere at the Lyric Theatre in a few weeks.
On the eve of their first West End performance, we’ve had the great news that Dear Evan Hansen has been extended at the Noël Coward Theatre, and is now booking until 2 May 2020. Producer Stacey Mindich also announced today a weekly digital lottery starting on Wednesday 13 November. Those selected in the lottery will be able to buy two tickets at £25.
