Further casting was announced for Richard Jones’ production of Endgame at The Old Vic. Jane Horrocks and Karl Johnson will join the previously announced Alan Cumming and Daniel Radcliffe.

We caught a first look at the Unicorn Theatre‘s production of The Canterville Ghost. A spooky and funny retelling of Oscar Wilde’s novel is brought to life at the Unicorn this Christmas.
The National Theatre announced their programming from December 2019 to June 2020. Upcoming productions will include – Romeo and Juliet with Josh O’Connor, Jessie Buckley and Fisayo Akinade; Sea Sick, written and performed by Alanna Mitchell; Hamlet reimagined for younger audiences by Jude Christian and directed by Tinuke Craig, which will tour to state schools across London, before performances in March; Gary Owen’s new play Romeo and Julie, a co-production with Sherman Theatre, with Callum Scott Howells and Rosie Sheehy as Romeo and Julie.
Their NT Live broadcasts in 202 will also include Cyrano De Bergerac with James McAvoy, The Welkin with Maxine Peake, Jack Absolute Flies Again and Romeo & Juliet.
Kiln Theatre announced this week their programme as part of Sadiq Khan’s Brent London Borough of Culture 2020, featuring the world première of Zadie Smith’s The Wife Of Willesden directed by Indhu Rubasingham; Footholds: NW Stories, a trilogy of short plays by Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams; and the fourth annual Mapping Brent project, supported by the Brent 2020 Culture Fund. Kiln Theatre will also lead The Agency, a programme for young people in Brent to workshop and pitch business and social enterprise ideas for funding and support.
