Family spectacle Slava’s Snowshow will return to the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall this Christmas for the third year running.
Following the success of sell-out winter runs in 2011 and 2012, the award-winning production, which mixes theatrical clowning and stunning visuals, will hit the venue just in time to create a white Christmas, playing from 17 December to 5 January.
Created and staged by Slava Polunin, the Artistic Director of St Petersburg Circus, Slava’s Snowshow invites audiences into a joyous dream-like world, unlike anything you have seen before. This is a magical world in which a cobweb envelops the audience and one tiny piece of paper begins a heart-stopping blizzard of snow.
First seen in the UK in 1994, amongst its many awards, the popular show took home an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment in 1998 and has performed in 120 cities to more than three million spectators.
Recommended for audiences aged eight to 88-years-old, the eccentric production will tour across the UK prior to its London run.
