Little Angel theatre will apply its puppetry magic to Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox this autumn from 11 September to 7 November.
The show, which is suitable for ages four and over, tells the story of Mr Fox and his battle against three greedy farmers. While his enemies will stop at nothing to get rid of him, Mr Fox, who is cleverer than all of them, comes up with a cunning plan of his own.
To accompany Fantastic Mr Fox, Little Angel hosts some special activity workshops for children. The Kids Fun Day, held during half term on 27 October, is a puppet making workshop for children aged five to 11. Participants can see a performance of Fantastic Mr Fox in the morning and create their very own puppet in the afternoon.
Young puppet enthusiasts can also take part in a Saturday Puppet Club which runs for nine weeks from 25 September to 4 December. After seeing a performance of Fantastic Mr Fox at the beginning of the course, participants are charged with creating their own puppets and developing a short play for performance to family and friends at the end of the course.
