Lion King Cub School holds auditions

Published 12 March 2014

Children aged between seven and 11-years-old have the incredible opportunity to audition for Disney’s The Lion King’s Cub School programme this weekend.

The hugely successful musical’s Cub School is a free, 14-week long training programme from which the West End show’s key roles of Young Simba and Young Nala are cast.

The open audition will take place from 10:30 on Sunday 16 March at London’s famous performing arts school, the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and auditionees lucky enough to win a place will receive dance, voice and acting training led by teachers associated with The Lion King.

While Cub School will offer the opportunity for budding performers to hone the skills required to perform in the acclaimed and popular show that has won more than 70 theatre awards worldwide, a place does not guarantee participants will go on to win a part in the stage musical. It will, however, offer youngsters with ambitions of performing on stage a chance to gain exceptional experience.

Applicants for Sunday’s open call must be less than 148cm tall and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no need to prepare anything in advance and full details can be found at www.thelionkingauditions.co.uk
