An epic new musical demands a starry cast, and The Prince Of Egypt today has announced lead casting that’s sure to get more than just the sands shifting to the Dominion Theatre from February.

Luke Brady, best known for playing Anthony in Jonathan Kent’s West End staging of Sweeney Todd, will lead the cast as Moses, with Liam Tamne (Giuseppe Naccarelli in The Light In The Piazza, as well as roles in Phantom, Les Mis and Wicked in the West End) as Ramses.

They’ll be joined by Christine Allado (who originated Peggy/Maria Reynolds in the London cast of Hamilton) as Tzipporah, with West End favourite Alexia Khadime (Elphaba in Wicked and Nala in Disney’s The Lion King) also starring as Miriam.

The Prince Of Egypt musical has music and lyrics by Wicked’s Stephen Schwartz and a book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan and Pocahontas). Reimagining the beloved DreamWorks Animation film for the stage, the show transports audiences through the wonders of Ancient Egypt, where two young men will fulfil their world-changing destinies – one as Pharaoh, and the other as liberator of his people.

It’s the West End premiere production of the show, which will incorporate the Academy Award-winning song When You Believe, recorded by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey in 1998 and later selected by Simon Cowell as a winner’s single for The X Factor.

You can also look forward to this royal cast tackling songs including Deliver Us, All I Ever Wanted, Through Heaven’s Eyes, when The Prince Of Egypt takes to the Dominion Theatre from Wednesday 5 February 2020.
