The Olivier Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will welcome back original West End cast members Killian Donnelly and Matt Henry later this month, with the London production set to be filmed for future worldwide screening.
The heart-warming hit, set to play its last performance at the Adelphi Theatre on 12 January 2019, will temporarily welcome back Donnelly and Henry as Charlie and Lola respectively from Monday 26 – Wednesday 28 November 2018 whilst filming takes place.
Both actors were Olivier Award-nominated for their original performances in the show, with Matt Henry winning the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2016.
By the time Kinky Boots takes its final bow in January, it will have played over 1400 West End performances in a massively celebrated run. The show is also currently enjoying a hugely successful UK tour.
Since opening on Broadway in 2013, Kinky Boots has become an international hit with productions having played in Canada, Australia, Germany and Japan.
With a book by Broadway legend and four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, songs by Grammy and Tony Award-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots, the story of a resurrected shoe factory in Northampton, is all about the friendships we discover, and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind.
