Kids Week, the annual initiative that has helped more than 120,000 children, parents, guardians and friends take a trip to the theatre this summer, has been nominated for a London Lifestyle Award.
The summer theatrical extravaganza, which is now in its 15th year, sits alongside nominees including the ZSL London Zoo and the London Dungeons in the Best Cultural Attraction category.
West End LIVE in association with MasterCard, the annual festival of London’s theatre and entertainment, is also nominated in the Best Festival category.
The awards, which were launched in 2012 to celebrate individuals and companies making London’s lifestyle the envy of the world, are voted for by the public. You can throw your support behind Kids Week here. Voting closes on 21 September.
If you’ve not taken advantage of 2012’s Kids Week yet, there’s still time. The ticket deal means that one child (16 and younger) can go free to a participating show with a full paying adult. Two more children can also go for half price. The initiative, which this year runs for the entire month of August, is running until the end of the month and there are still tickets available for shows including Billy Elliot The Musical, Shrek The Musical, Top Hat, Wicked and The Wizard Of Oz.
