Paul Daniels will work his legendary magic to give the Ambassadors theatre’s Santa Claus And The Christmas Adventure added festive sparkle, while actors Lesley Joseph and Ian Talbot will lend their voices to the yuletide production.
The family show, which plays from 29 November to 31 December, will transport audience members to Santa’s HQ in the North Pole where preparations for the most magical night of the year are in full swing. When the fog is too thick for Santa and his reindeer to fly through, Charlie the Elf turns to Rudolph to save the day. But when the shiny-nosed helper is nowhere to be found, the audience must help Charlie to save Christmas!
Daniels, one of the most famous magicians in the world, has created a variety of festive magical tricks for the interactive show, although he sadly won’t be making his West End debut in the production, staying strictly behind-the-scenes.
Joseph will voice Santa-Nav, the sleigh’s onboard computer, which helps direct Santa while he racks up the air miles. The actress is best known for her long-running role in BBC series Birds Of A Feather but has appeared on stage in UK tours of Calendar Girls and The Vagina Monologues.
Talbot will voice Santa’s playful friend Muffin the Bear. The actor and directed has appeared in shows including Hairspray at the Shaftesbury theatre and Alphabetical Order at Hampstead, and most recently directed Lend Me A Tenor at the Gielgud theatre and The Invisible Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
As an added bonus, all children attending Santa Claus And The Christmas Adventure will be given the chance to meet Santa after the show and receive a present.
