West End hit musical Jersey Boys has extended its run at the Piccadilly Theatre to 16 April 2017, releasing a staggering 250,000 tickets today.
The extension comes at an exciting time for the hugely popular musical that tells the astonishing true story of pop group Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’ rise to fame. Earlier this week it celebrated its eighth year playing in the West End and recently welcomed a brand new cast of leading men.
The show now stars Matt Corner, Simon Bailey, Declan Egan and Matt Hunt as the four iconic red jacketed musicians who travelled from their humble beginnings in New Jersey to become one of the world’s most successful bands.
The Tony and Olivier Award-winning hit brings the quartet’s story to life on stage with a show packed with the group’s most famous hits including Sherry, Walk Like A Man, December 1963, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Who Loves You.
The musical recently also celebrated making this year’s Magic Radio Audience Award shortlist, after thousands of theatregoers voted for Jersey Boys to be in the running for the award at the Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard.
This latest extension adds an extra six months onto the much loved production’s London run.
