Britain’s Got Talent star Jamie Raven will bring his jaw-dropping magic to the Shaftesbury Theatre this autumn when world-conquering magic show The Illusionists – Witness The Impossible comes to the West End.
The hit illusion spectacular, which features seven of the most mouth gape-inducing, entertainingly baffling magical performers in the world, will run in London from 14 November.
Raven, the runner-up in this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent, will make his West End debut alongside escapologist Andrew Basso, inventor/illusionist Kevin James, mentalist Colin Cloud and danger-monger Ben Blaque, whose routine culminates with the performer shooting an apple off his own head while blindfolded. The full line-up of performers is yet to be announced.
Speaking about the production, Producer Simon Painter said: “We can’t wait to bring this electrifying show to London’s West End for a truly entertaining experience for the whole family. The Illusionists is the most non-stop and powerful mix of outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on the live stage.”
The Illusionists is the second major magic show to announce it will head to the West End this year. Impossible, which also features a collection of astounding wizards and acts that will befuddle and confuse, runs at the Noël Coward Theatre from 24 July.
Running from November to January, The Illusionists will fill the Shaftesbury Theatre between the closure of current Olivier Award-winning hit Memphis The Musical and the arrival of the Tony Award-nominated Motown The Musical.
