Anyone who’s ever been an understudy will know that it generally involves a lot of waiting, in the hope that the other actor really does break a leg. Anyone familiar with Samuel Beckett’s seminal Waiting For Godot will know that the play also involves an awful lot of waiting. Combining these two ideas is Waiting For Waiting For Godot, a new comedy penned by David Hanson, directed by Mark Bell, known for his work on the Olivier Award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong.
Not that inertia is the name of the game in this new play, if the photos are anything to go by. We expect plenty of laughs and musings on theatre, Godot and life.
