It’s now just over a week until the cast of Mike Kenny’s heart-warming adaptation of E Nesbit’s magical The Railway Children will shout ‘all aboard’ to audiences when the Olivier Award-winning family hit returns to London.
From the photos above, it seems this theatrical journey is travelling right on time with the company – including an ensemble of talented youngsters – in full swing, busy rehearsing for their first preview on 16 December.
Of course, it’s not only this cast that is new to the production. This time around the immersive show will play in a brand new theatre behind King’s Cross Station. And if its fitting location doesn’t get you in the mood for the transport-themed family drama, the fully working 60-tonne steam locomotive and carriage as perhaps the best theatre prop ever no doubt will.
Take a look at Johan Persson’s photos in our gallery above for a sneaky peek as to what to expect, then book your permit to travel – or show ticket, as they’re known in the trade – to witness the magic of Kenny’s production here.
