It’s been almost six months since Mark Haddon’s prize-winning tale about a 15-year-old boy with behavioural problems was last seen on the West End stage, so there are bound to be a few curious theatregoers eager to see its long-awaited return.
Fortunately, we’re here to appease such curiosity with a gallery of images from photographer Ellie Kurttz, who snuck into rehearsals for the show as it prepares to entertain audiences once again with the tale of a teenage boy who embarks on a mission to discover the truth about the untimely death of his neighbour’s dog.
Marianne Elliott’s seven-time Olivier Award-winning production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, which was forced to close in December 2013 after part of the Apollo Theatre’s ceiling collapsed, is set to resume performances on 24 June with new cast members and a new home at the Gielgud Theatre.
Judging by rehearsal room proceedings, Graham Butler is already feeling at home in the role of Christopher and his fellow trainer-clad cast members look more than ready to support him, which if you’ve seen the production you’ll know applies in more ways than one.
