It might be considered a bit rude to be curled up with a book if you’re meant to be rehearsing for one of the West End’s most anticipated shows opening this year. But if you’re Pixie Lott you can get away with it. And not because she’s a successful pop star, but because she’s busy preparing to play one of literature’s best loved, most iconic heroines.
She’ll be taking on the intimidating role of Holly Golightly in director Nikolai Foster’s take on Breakfast Of Tiffany’s, Truman Capote’s legendary novella that was made into one of the world’s most famous ever films thanks to Audrey Hepburn’s sensational turn as the charming and elusive Holly.
Lott will be stepping into those stylish shoes from 3 March, when the play premieres at Foster’s Curve Theatre in Leicester. London audiences will have to wait just a bit longer, with the play set to arrive at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for a summer season from 30 June.
Until then, you can peek into how rehearsals with Lott and fellow cast members including Downton Abbey’s Matt Barber and sitcom star Victor McGuire are shaping up in Sean Ebsworth Barnes’ photos above.
