What a weekend! Rock Of Ages reunited. Wicked fans literally looked to the western sky for a gravity-defying performance. And Carrie Hope Fletcher walked on stage to deafening screams. Naturally.
Most of you will know by now we’re talking about West End LIVE with MasterCard, which once again saw thousands of musical theatre fans flock to Trafalgar Square over the weekend for two days of incredible entertainment from London’s most popular shows.
From Beverley Knight and Killian Donnelly’s final public performance as Memphis The Musical co-stars to a very first look at Kimberley Walsh in Elf, audiences enjoyed a host of theatrical treats this weekend, all for the non-bank-breaking price of absolutely nothing.
Even the rain, which inevitably graced us with its presence on Saturday – cue Let It Be’s iconic Union Flag umbrellas – couldn’t dampen the mood, so good were the dazzling performances brightening up the alfresco stage.
