As director Jeremy Herrin and his cast polish Matthew Dunster’s world premiere at the Almeida, we peek into the rehearsal room.
Dunster’s tale of tested friendship stars Darrell D’Silva and Trevor Fox as Michael and Gordon, who have been friends for 20 years, since they met at acting college. But while Michael is now Mr Saturday Night TV, Gordon is struggling under the strain of enormous debts. His daughter, played by Emily Berrington, couldn’t care less about her Dad’s issues. When he asks Gordon for a loan, cracks in the characters’ relationships begin to be exposed.
Joining D’Silva, Fox and Berrington in the cast are Beth Cordingly, John MacMillan and Sally Rogers.
Photographer Johan Persson was allowed into the rehearsal room.
