A Bounty of sweet-toothed theatregoers came out in force last night as they made their (Milky) Way to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to be (Turkish) Delighted by Sam Mendes’ hit musical Charlie And The Chocolate Factory as it celebrated its second birthday in the West End.
One Olivier Award-winning director, two Tointons and a Kinky Boot-sporting duo were among the Starmix that gathered at the venue to Revel in the musical take on Roald Dahl’s classic tale about an eccentric confectioner and his five lucky golden ticket winners.
The two-Time(Out) Olivier Award-winning show, which currently stars Jonathan Slinger as the iconic chocolate factory owner, has now been seen, not only by hundreds and thousands, but Millions of theatregoers.
Before last night’s guests took to their seats to watch the giant dancing squirrels Twirl and Oompa-Loompas trans-Twix audiences with the chocolatey tale, first they had to (Dairy) Milk the attention of photographer Dave Benett.
Have a break from our chocolate puns and have a look at the gallery of his photos above… maybe whilst eating a KitKat.
