As a moment capturing the past year in theatre little could be finer than the Olivier Awards nominees photo taken yesterday at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
The famous stage, currently hosting hit play One Man, Two Guvnors – itself an Olivier nominee – was covered with the greatest performers, creative talent and producers to have brought theatre, opera and dance to London over the last year.
From Best Actor nominees James Corden and David Haig to Royal Ballet star Edward Watson, the theatre was like a who’s who of the West End during 2011.
We were there, of course, to snap away behind the scenes.
